MHP and MHEG co-existence |
A consortium of industry leaders today formally announced that it has been awarded Government sponsorship to investigate the potential relevance of the DVB Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) to Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) in the UK, addressing questions such as whether MHP-capable receivers will be able to run MHEG applications, and if both MHEG and MHP applications could practically co-exist in the broadcast stream. The consortium consists of the BBC, Philips, Strategy & Technology and Endurance Technology.
